Niagara Falls is located approximately 1hr 20 min from Toronto Airport and 20 min from Buffalo Airport.
BY Car:
If you are driving from the States and contemplating using your work vehicle ( not recommended ), be aware that you will have to compile a list of all your tools and have it stamped before you cross the border.
There are two major entry points into Canada, The Peace Bridge in Buffalo and The Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls NY. Either one should have fairly light traffic in January, I do believe the toll is slightly higher at the Rainbow bridge though.
Some maps to help you get there

Both Via and Amtrak have schedules and numerous connecting services that all lead to Niagara Falls Canada. I personally used Amtrak to go to Boston last year and must say it was more pleasant than going by car. You never know, if enough sweeps come by train, you could have a mini convention enroute.
